ERMANNO PLOZZER – 1966 – Sauris (UD)
As a sunny and vital person, Ermanno Plozzer has a natural talent for sculpture. In early 90s, he discovered his passion for Carnival masks. So his creativity “exploded”, also following Feliciano Costa’s suggestions.
He is often invited in conventions and competitions about wooden and ice-sculpture both in Italy and abroad, where he has obtained several awards. At the present time, he is the one and only true continuer of the traditional Carnival mask carving in Sauris.
He is a co-founder of the “Mascherai Alpini” Association.
He mainly uses Swiss Pine wood for his masks.
