MATTIA GIULIANI – 1987 – Soraga (TN)
He attended for 5 years the art institute “G. Soraperra” in Pozza di Fassa, where among other talents he learned the basics of wood carving.
As a young boy he begins to participate to the traditional Fassa Valley carnival, where Soraga is -traditionally and historically- one of the most active places.
He made his first mask at 16, proudly wearing it during the following traditional carnival parade.
He became part of the “Mascherai Alpini” in 2012.
The type of wood he generally uses for his masks is the Stone Pine.
