DAVIDE DEFLORIAN – 1965 – POZZA DI FASSA
Born in Cavalese, lives in Pozza di Fassa. Son of a sculptor he gets involved in art since childhood, attending his father’s workshop in Tesero. He graduated from the Art School in Pozza di Fassa and later attended the school for apprentices sculptors in Val Gardena. He soon begun carving “Faceres”, the typical and traditional wooden masks of the Fassa Valley.
He has also presented his art work and sculptures in several group exhibitions.
Since the 90s he teaches sculpture at the Art School of Pozza di Fassa, trying to convey his passion and techniques to the young students.
Davide joined the Association in 2016.
He mainly uses Swiss Pine for his masks.
