SIEGFRIED KRISMER – 1944 – Fiss /Tyrol (A)
Born in Fiss / Tyrol / Austria in 1944
He lives and works in Fiss.
School education from 1961 to 1965 at the HTL artistic institute in Innsbruck, graduated in wood and stone sculpture with professors Kuen, Baumann, Zelger, Knapp and others, and further summer courses with Josef Bachlechner jun.
After returning home, he started working as a freelancer in Fiss.
Since 1969 he has participated in exhibitions in Germany and abroad. Since 1983 solo exhibitions in various galleries and participation in competitions. Learns the bronze casting technique.
From the end of the 60s to today he makes wooden masks for the local Blochziehen carnival in Fiss.
In the last few years he has also made masks for the Blochziehen children’s carnival. He also made copies of ancient masks for the Landeck museum and others.
